I am so excited to be able to say that my new book, Unexpected Passion , book 2 in my Unexpected Love series, will be released in the next week. At this stage it will be the ebook, but I am hoping the paperback won’t be too far away. Circumstances have contrived to make things a little difficult over this last year, but nevertheless the excitement levels are high.
Born to Italian migrant parents, I have always been very proud of my heritage, and it has impacted on the way I view the world. It led me to studying other languages, working with people in all kinds of situations and even to teaching English in Italy. Living there and knowing so many places were a mere hop and a skip away had its merit, lots of merit. I began thinking it might be nice to use my experiences by including them in my writing.
Unexpected Passion is a romance, but the novel is also very much women’s fiction. And surprisingly, because the book deals with some serious issues, it is a rom-com. Lexi can be hilarious.
My first book, Unexpected Obsession , took us to Sicily. Unexpected Passion takes us to Italy, Greece, and a small sojourn to Japan before heading home to Sydney. Unlike book 1, though, the couple in this second book are older and have experienced the good and bad in life.
Be warned, Lexi talks to herself. A lot. And she says some strange things. Ricardo finds Alessandra, as he calls her, a pain in the behind who throws salt at things and has terrible mood swings. However, due to Lexi’s family connections (book 1), he has to bite his tongue, but the woman is impossible.
Surfer Boy—Lexi’s appellation for Ricardo, half-owner of Paradiso Tours—is, according to her, a womaniser who needs a haircut, is vain and just plain mean where she is concerned. She does concede the man knows his stuff, has good legs and is great with people. Ha!
How will this end? While we wait for the answer we visit some beautiful parts of Italy and the Greek island of Kythera. And though the book has some serious things to say, I hope you will enjoy Lexi’s humour and Ricardo’s battle not to see her good side.

Ricardo knows exactly what he wants, who he wants it with and when, and it isn’t an aggravating woman his age who has no idea about clothes.
