Dear users of Royal Road, We are excited to announce that our reader mobile app will be released for Android and iOS soon. In preparation for that, and for many other future developments, as well as to be up to date on the state of the community, we have many legal and guideline updates.
We have published a new version of the Terms of Service , Privacy Policy , and DMCA guidelines to ensure compliance with the latest legal and privacy requirements. If you have any questions about them, we encourage you to ask in the comments below.
Please note that the new Terms of Service has been completely rewritten from scratch to properly represent how we have operated for years and will continue to operate going forward.
In addition, we released new and improved Content Guidelines , General Rules , and Review Rules .
These improved rules and guidelines aim to offer clearer guidance to all users regarding the content we moderate. We’ve simply added common sense clauses and provided better clarification for what is allowed and what is not so that you may feel more comfortable writing on the platform, without wondering how we will moderate the content.
