10 Things to Share #52

Hi Friends!

Here’s my weekly post sharing about what’s going on in the world of RecipeGirl, as well as some fun links to things I’ve come across lately. So here it goes: following are 10 things to share with you this week- everything from recipes to shopping to a few fun articles and more. There are a few affiliate links included here and there. Enjoy!

Let’s Make a Big Pot of Chili!

This recipe for  White Chicken Chili  has plenty of white aged cheddar cheese swirled in to create a wonderful cheesy texture to this bowl of chili.

Having a big tub of  Three Bean and Beef Chili  around during the week is a great thing.

This healthier  Confetti Chili  recipe is more than just a pretty bowl of chili. It’s filling and delicious, and best of all… it’s lower in calories too!

This  Acorn Squash and Chicken Chili  is a unique alternative to traditional chili recipes.

Here’s a fabulous recipe for  Spicy Vegetarian Chili  that also happens to be Vegan.

This  Mexican Black Bean and Sausage Chili  has its own homemade (easy) sausage tucked inside of it.

I’ve always loved this  Turkey Pumpkin Chili  recipe.  It’s a good-for-you kind of chili.  No guilt!

What I’m watching and reading :

Another season of Love is Blind has been released on Netflix. I don’t know why I love this train-wreck of a show, but I do!

I’m currently listening to The Art Thief: A True Story of Love, Crime, and a Dangerous Obsession by Micheal Finkel. This is a book that my sister recommended to me. I love a true story, and this one is interesting! From Amazon: One of the most remarkable true-crime narratives of the twenty-first century: the story of the world’s most prolific art thief, Stéphane Breitwieser. In this spellbinding portrait of obsession and flawed genius, the author brings us into Breitwieser’s strange world—unlike most thieves, he never stole for money, keeping all his treasures in a single room where he could admire them.

Fun Recipes I’ve spotted on the internet this week :

Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Scones are the perfect fall breakfast!

This Autumn Pasta Salad looks unique and yummy.

Chicken Alfredo Casserole sounds delicious for dinner!

Peanut Butter Marshmallow Cups look pretty darn amazing and easy to make.

Here’s what’s going on in my life:

Since it’s breast cancer awareness month, I decided to keep spreading the word about my experience with having surgery for breast cancer last summer. I ordered some breast cancer awareness workout gear: leggings , a tank and a hat . I will wear them to workout class and hopefully continue to help raise awareness!

I was also contacted by Mayo clinic this week to see if I would do some media for them regarding my experience at Mayo with breast cancer. I said, “yes!” They were interested in talking to me since my breast cancer was detected with an MRI mammogram instead of the usual regular mammogram. I was also flagged as high risk, so my case was a little different. The point is to talk to your doctor and make sure you’re communicating. You can read about my whole breast cancer story on my Instagram post .
