Snow White- Dark and Light

 I love sharing ideas and changing the paths of retellings. I thought I should or would share this with you!  Snow White is but one example of a tale that could be retold in interesting ways, one of which is to shift the dynamic of petty evil queen whining over her fading beauty, and turn it into a political war between her and Snow White or even better, a magical power struggle.  The idea I have is this, what if the Evil Queen and Snow White where both Succubi? Succubi are sex demons, that use their powers to seduce and sleep with men to consume their lifeforce. However, what if we play with that, and say they survive by using beauty and lust and love as tools to strengthen their positions in life.  The Evil Queen being obsessed with beauty would make more sense, as beauty is literally her power and Snow White's beauty rivaling hers could be a sign that she could be deposed by her Stepdaughter's inherit powers. The odd blind loyalty and love Snow White and the Queen encourages actually makes more sense if you present the idea that they are magically influencing other people, which is why the Huntsman fell in love with or was lusted over by Snow White, even if she was young.  To add more to it, since everyone forgets that Snow White only was saved by her Prince when he literally resuccitated her when she was choking and not poisoned by the apple, you could turn the kiss of true love angle into something more like she fed on his lifeforce when her natural beauty magnet powers lured him in.  Really there is a lot of places you could go with this. This idea is one I will be working on but it is also free to a good home, if you like it just give credit or let me beta read.
