Merlin and the Dragon!

Assuming you've seen the BBC show Merlin, you know of the idiot Warlock/Dragonlord Merlin and the Ancient Dragon Kilgarah. Likely, you are aware of how badly Merlin mistreated, abused and drained Kilgarah of any information without giving back to the dragon then somehow played moral superior when Kilgarah, after being freed, went on a rampage against the citizens of Camelot that imprisoned him, slaughtered his people and more.  The show tries to play Merlin off as a heroic character, who served his destiny and stopped the rampaging evil Dragon... but like... Kilgarah deserved to slaughter some people, people that stood by as their king and kind slaughtered an entire race of intelligent powerful beings out of spite. There isn't even the excuse of generations removed, most of the generation that played a part in this hell that was the dragon genocide were alive.  Merlin was, at best, a niave child, but at worst a complicent enabler that actually helped out the genocidal maniac that was Uther and his idiot son Arthur! What made it worse was that, as a Dragon Lord, Merlin had total sway over Kilgarah and frequently abused his powers to make terrible mistakes that hurt many all the while never listening to Kilgarah's wisdom. It was aggrivating and one of the things that prevented the show from elevating to a greater state of being. No one ever learned anything. So... yeah!
