Why the Blessed Babies?

 So I love to read and write, but I don't know if you've noticed but there is a whole lot of blessed babies in media. Superman, Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Luke and Anakin and Leia. Aliens, Demigods, Wizards, Jedis! So many beings that with minimal effort just overcome and overpower their peers, their enemies and so on. I never got that, understood that... Where is the power of effort, of hard work? Why are all these main characters blessed and powerful? They earn nothing, they are just the best from the start or near start. Luke became the best jedi with less than a few years of training, unlike all Jedi of the past that needed decades to be anything near powerful. Percy became the best swordsman in centuries without much more than a summer of training. Superman is just overpowered due to the sun so few if any beings are capable of coming near his power in any way...  I want to see a new wave of media, where we see characters crawling for power, earning it day in and out through trial and triumph. Where losses are lessons and life is a tool to grow. We so rarely get to see that in anything. I try to show it in my own work, but still, it is a something I wish and need to see more often.  So... yeah! P.S. Sorry for the delay in this, I had life stuff getting in the way.
