THOR #143-144 (1967)

Thor, Sif and Balder take on “The Enchanters,” who look a lot like most Kirby cosmic villains and act in a pretty generic way. 






But it’s a fun story, and it begins with an extended sequence of Thor-as-rock-star, hangin’ with the chicks at the soda shop.



And Odin has a very nice hat.






And Balder is still fat.







Thor is where Stan and Jack are doing some of their best work these days. This gets a C+–above average for all the other books on the stands in 1967 –because 1967 was a great year for Marvel.
