Shrimp Scampi


This is an easy, family friendly recipe for Shrimp Scampi , a dish beloved by many.







Shrimp scampi is one of those amazing things that you see often on a restaurant menu. But it’s super easy to make at home too! This recipe requires only 6 main ingredients to make. And you can eat it on its own or serve it over your favorite carb.

In a large skillet, melt the butter. Add the garlic and cook for about 2 minutes. Stir and watch carefully. You don’t want the butter or garlic to burn. Remove the garlic from the pan and discard.



Add the shrimp to the hot butter. Sauté the shrimp until firm and pink, 3 to 5 minutes. Stir in the wine, lemon, salt and pepper.

Shrimp scampi is great served over rice, polenta , cauliflower puree , or pasta.



An easy way to crush the garlic is to peel the garlic, lay it on its side and then take a wide knife and use it smash down and crush the garlic.



Pinot grigio and sauvignon blanc are two good dry white wines you can use in this recipe.









We like shrimp scampi served over spaghetti and sprinkled with freshly chopped parsley. You can drizzle the juices leftover in the pan over the shrimp and pasta.
