Tara Togs Cover Preview

We are starting to proof ‘Tara Togs – The Silence of Unicorns’, coming to Kickstarter soon. Here’s the cover by writer/artist Stref. Stref has worked for the Beano and Dandy and has illustrated Oor Wullie and The Broons in the past. Join the pre launch page here

Inspired by TinTin, Indiana Jones and Lara Croft this lockdown project took Stref three years to complete in between his current ongoing work for Viz Comic. He was given support for lettering and colouring from Creative Scotland. Your additional support will cover the printing of your copy of the book, show funders it is worth investing in the comics medium and more importantly covers the cost of Stref’s time and energy in producing this amazing piece of work.

In Europe this style of book sells in its millions. ComicScene were looking to publish a very special comic book that celebrated the rich history of British comics, appealed to all ages, that crossed over many popular styles of storytelling and would be welcome in schools, libraries and bookshops. Tara Togs has the universal appeal of Harry Potter and is the perfect next step comic for those brought up on the Beano, Phoenix, Asterix, Monster Fun, Hilda, Bunny vs Monkey and Dog Man. We have faith in this book and we hope you will too.

Produced in the U.K. with a Edinburgh based lead character this is a great modern day all ages 68 page adventure book.  If you enjoyed the Tara Togs short story ‘Hot Dog’ in a recent edition of ComicScene Magazine you will love this.

Kickstarter is your opportunity to pre order and support the first full length book. join the pre launch Kickstarter page to be part of the world of Tara Togs here.
