Yesterday, the American Association for the Advancement of Science announced
the 2024 AAAS/Subaru Prize for Excellence in
Science Books , and Whale Fall was the winner in the picture book
category. Woo-hoo!
I’ve always considered myself a scientist first and a writer second, so
nothing makes me happier than to have a book recognized by the nation’s top
science organization. Thank you, AAAS!
