I began writing this book in 2018, after my aunt showed me photos of her visit with my cousin on Denny Island. It’s a tiny island village in the middle of BC’s rugged central coast. I thought, “What a great place to set a book!” I had been noodling a trilogy about estranged half-brothers and decided to give them a half-sister. The logline became: Three Men and a Baby on an Island. In Marrying the Nanny , eldest brother Reid suggests a marriage of convenience to Emma, the nanny, in order to take custody of his infant Storm. Emma is fresh out of a bad marriage. She was determined to only marry again for love. She loves Storm and she has great chemistry with Reid, but will that be enough for a lifetime?
