Masquerade is the first in my new contemporary romance Choosing Family series. I was playing with the theme of deception and mistrust—that’s a biggie for a lot of us. Then I saw a program on identical twins. It was emphasising the special closeness many identical twins share. I started wondering about what might fracture such a relationship. Add that to the question ‘Are there any good lies?’ and I had the  makings of a book. I added a second set of identical twins, because why not? I like heat and heart in my books because the best relationships demand both.
