Welcome to a new column that will spotlight some comics that didn’t quite make the Hot 10 List. Think of this as the honorable mentions and some comics that may not qualify for the regular Hot 10 List.
You might be surprised that some of these didn’t make the main list, but that is not a disservice to any of these books, but a credit to those that made it. Some of the below just didn’t quite have the price increase or volume to warrant a spot yet.
If you haven’t noticed, I do not include any Exclusives on the Main List (Store, Convention, or otherwise). I just don’t feel its equal footing to include those books on the regular list, so I don’t use them there. But sometimes there are Exclusives worth noting, and this is where you may find them going forward, on the Outside Looking In.
Weapon X-Men #1 1:100
Only 2 presales this week which sold for $200, and one sale of $150 since release. 3 more presales the last few weeks $140-150. 8 listed $140-200. Worth watching but the copies aren’t moving yet.
A virgin version of a pretty cool open order Jonboy Meyers cover. This issue is the 1st appearance of one new Wolverine character with Jane. Not sure if she’ll have any legs but she was portrayed pretty strongly in comparison to the other Logans in this crew.
X-Men #27
Close to making it back on the list the volume remains consistent, as does the price in the $40-50 raw range.
Still waiting for a big splash in Ultimate X-Men for the character as that 1st issue was pretty Armor heavy. But the tease of her intro in issue #2 has this book still on many folks radar.
Avengers Twilight #1
Crept up to $20 for the cover A, whereas this has been about $15 for months now. A consistent book over that time as the story is still going strong and interest hasn’t waned as new issues are released.
The United States of Murder Inc. #1
Over a dozen more sold this week following the first look deal with Bendis and Amazon.
Price hit a high over $20 this week as the avg is only about $10. As Pearl was the early favorite, those prices have held around $10, where we’ve seen some spikes in this title as well as Jinx, which made the main list this week.
Alien Worlds #4
This one snuck past me last week. Matching last week’s volume, the averages are a bit higher, but the highs are not where they were just over a week ago, which keeps this from making the main list.
It prob should have snuck on last week, but what’s done is done.
