Be in the Comic Industry Directory 2025

“Just announced: Directory introduction by U.K. Comics Laureate Bobby Joseph.”

In 2020 ComicScene launched the trial ‘Comic Industry Directory’ online and printed it in the ComicScene yearbook 2024. Whilst COVID and other events were not ideal the Directory did benefit creators who worked on paid projects.

For 2025 ComicScene will launch what we hope will be an annual revision of the Directory with added benefits. This will be online and as part of a dedicated book. Your support will help maintain the Directory for future years to come.

The Directory will be categorised by area (U.K., Ireland, Europe, Worldwide) then by section including Professional, indie or aspiring Creators (writers, artists, colourists, letterers), Publishers (and staff), Comic Printers, Comic Distributors, Comic Shops, Bookshops, Libraries, ComicCons, Comic Exhibitions, Comic Media, Comic Academics, Comic Groups and Comic Services.

You will be able to pay for a listing (just £15) with enhanced listing options including illustrations. You can also decide if you wish a copy of the book or be able to access it online. Online access or the book can also be supported by comic fans and groups who want access digitally, in print or both.

There is currently space for 1200 names in the 2025 edition but we will expand the Directory if more is required.

The project will launch on a crowdfunding platform in May for you to provide your details and also to help support the ongoing maintenance of such a project. You can get an ‘early bird’ price via the ComicScene website until May. Details at the current ComicScene Directory here.

The Directory is due to launch online and in print in September 2024.

You will also be added to a Directory mailing list which will inform you of information, comic events and funding to help support you throughout the year.

The book is scheduled for June. Alongside your listing ComicScene will also approach you for content for the ComicScene website which we can also share via our email list and social media. This will provide you with much needed promotion of your work.

Please share this opportunity and help the comic community thrive.
