Congratulations Clare

Congratulations to Clare who announced last week that she had decided to go back to the police force, but was still going to carry on writing Ffion Morgan in her spare time.



Ffion is Clare’s first series character and Game of Lies plot line is current with the number of reality TV shows out there. If you had a secret, what would you do to stop it being exposed?



With the inclusion of her daughter as part of the plot line with her boyfriend being on set, tying both the case she is investigating and the characters private lives is a really good way of creating a rounded book. And with one of the contestants being a local postie, she has got skin in the game there too with a number of times she has gone out drinking with her.



In exposure, everyone has got a secret and for a long time through the book, there is no crime at all, just a build up. This is a good thing as with a lot of books the crime is on page one.



With the character development moving on drastically as well, I can see why lots of people will enjoy reading this series and I have too, ever since I first heard about it on my trek to see Clare at an event at Lincoln Waterstones where I had to roll up the steep hill in my wheelchair, the first time I have been out of breath in my wheelchair due to the amount of cobbles.



Looking forward to reading more Ffion Morgan, great tense ending with a villain you can all hate. I know you will all enjoy this book as much as I did.
