This is definitely a new favorite author of mines. Cade is a single dad who is looking for a nanny and not liking his options at all. All the women in town have ulterior motives and he’s not here for it. So he’s driving his dad and sis-in-law to be (Summer) insane. He’s also a grump of the highest order to everyone but his son Luke of course. Luke is the most adorable five year old ever. Don’t get me wrong I’ve read many stories with adorable kids but Luke takes the cake with his commentary. I loved how he was constantly eavesdropping on everyone’s conversation. Willa is Summer’s best friend and in between gigs and not really sure what to do for the summer. She’s a bartender and has no experience with kids at all. But Summer thinks she’s perfect for the job. Willa is younger than Cade and sassy as hell, she has a smart mouth and keeps Cade on his toes at all times. And Luke loves her of course. She’s fun, smart and energetic and can totally handle caring for a five year old. Cade is a grump and is annoyed by everything that Willa does or so it seems, she’s wildly inappropriate but funny as hell. I love how she kept pushing him to see how he would react.
