Comic Community Themed Weeks announced for Comic Directory backers

ComicScene will be running comic community themed weeks on the website throughout the year that are open to those who sign up for the Comic Industry Directory 2025.  It’s like having a week long Comic Con without the travel, accommodation and table costs!  Share your work with the whole comic community and we will promote the website to highlight each themed week. The list of weeks are below.

ComicScene said today, “The comic community who sign up to the Directory get their name out to others but that is not enough. They get to take over the website without an editorial gatekeeper and we are introducing today specific themed weeks that reflect the different aspects and interest of comic creators and fans. People talk about comic silos and we want to help break down the barriers by giving control back to the comic community themselves.”

“We will also be giving advice on a Print On Demand service so you can avoid printing unnecessary stock or test out a new comic before taking it to a crowdfunder or comicon. The service can take payments and post out on your behalf to readers with the ability to post in the UK and US (in certain formats) to avoid ever increasing postal charges and overall to improve the environment and our carbon footprint. The service can also get your books out to other outlets. You can promote your book via the ComicScene website that currently has 30% more impact than a message on social media. Together we can do so much and increase that impact. We’ve tried it with our recent ComicScene Special Edition and the new Raising Amy book. It’s all very exciting and is the culmination of five years work.”

“You have exactly one month to pledge your support for the kickstarter. We are simply providing the tools to bring everyone together so we can learn from one another and make more people more aware of comics as a medium. Your £10 to £30 pledge helps sustain this work.” Pledge here
