Alright, since we’re finished with all five senses, we’re back to new (and sometimes random) storytime themes! I had realized a while ago that I had a few storytime themes on illness, sneezes, and sniffles, but nothing on the people who helps us feel better! So without further ado, today’s free storytime lesson plan is all about doctors and nurses.
Ironically, this week, I have my regular wellness exam, which makes it a perfect time to share stories about doctors and nurses. Both of these groups of people can be daunting, especially for little kids, I mean, even when I’m healthy going to the doctor’s office can be overwhelming! But, it can help kids tobetter understand what to expect before they even get sic, so it won’t be quite so scary! A mix of stories and fact-based books are sure to help open the dialog between kids and adults about happens at the doctor’s office and why they’re an important part of our community.
