The Reread Book Tag
Funny story: I planned one doing this book tag when I first saw it. Last year . That’s how great I am at jumping on these things. I wait a full year to get going. Anyway, I stumbled across the tag again on the awesome bookforager blog (seriously, give them a follow) so I’m finally going to do it. Hooray for me.
A Childhood Favorite that you Could Read 100 Times and Still Love
Bunnicula by Deborah and James Howe is so much fun! I’ve read it a ton of times, both on my own and with my kids. I laugh every time, especially now that I get to see my kids react to it. They love it too (my oldest once read it to his stuffed animals).
A Book you did not Finish but would be Willing to give a Second Chance
I don’t set books down all that often. If I do, it’s usually because the content has really bothered me, so if I DNF a book, it’s final.
A Newer Favorite you would Reread
I just finished Dragons of Eternity by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman last night. As soon as I shut the book, I wanted to start the trilogy over again, it ended so wonderfully. I expected nothing less from these fantastic authors.
Review to come.
A Book you Hated and Never Want to Read Again
A Child Called “It” was assigned reading in a class I took years ago. It is by far the most disturbing book I’ve ever read all the way through, and you couldn’t pay me to revisit it.
A Classic Book you Read in School but Want to Try Again
My oldest will be reading Lord of the Flies for school this coming year and I’m looking forward to discussing it with him. We always talk about the books we’ve both read, and he always has interesting ideas about them. It’s been quite a while since I’ve read it, so a reread is in order.
An Author you would Reread Anything From
This list is way too long to add pictures for. Just a few names include Margaret Weis, Erin Morgenstern, Alix E. Harrow…you get the idea. If I love a book or author, I plan to reread their work sooner or later.
A Series you Want to Reread for the Fun of it
I’m assuming this prompt is looking for “fun” or humorous books, so I’d have to go with the Amelia Peabody mysteries by Elizabeth Peters. They are varying levels of good, but the mysteries are always entertaining, and the main characters crack me up. This series is far from my usual type of read, but I enjoy them.
A Book you’ve Read but want to Listen to the Audiobook
Alas, I’m unable to focus on audiobooks.
