Huey Louie and Dewey #1 Huey, Louie and Dewey (Junior Woodchucks) v1 #1, 1966  - As a reward from their troop leader, the trio of boys get to go camping in an unspecified foreign country. The Junior Woodchucks (a Disney version of the Boy Scouts) were created by  Carl Barks  and previously appeared in several issues of  Walt Disney's Comics and Stories . With this  first issue , Donald Duck's nephews begin their own series with original stories written by Vic Lockman and drawn by Tony Strobl and Steve Steere. Notably, Barks laid out the first few issues and wrote many of the scripts in subsequent issues.
