Fun Shopping Finds:

I bought this cute and comfortable dress yesterday (sale!)
I also got this dress at an amazing price. I bought the papaya color!
This black summer top is super cute.
Just got these black sandals in the mail, and they are perfect. Super comfortable!
I bought this top on sale too (in red/blue). Cute!
These pants are cute for summer (sale!)
And finally… I have been looking for the perfect bra, and this is it ! I bought it in two colors, and I’m considering getting all of them. Once you find a good bra, you should just go for it and get all the colors!

What I’m watching and reading :

I’m listening to Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver. It was recently awarded the Pulitzer Prize! I’m about halfway through it already, and I’m loving it. Set in the mountains of southern Appalachia,  Demon Copperhead  is the story of a boy born to a teenaged single mother in a single-wide trailer, with no assets beyond his dead father’s good looks and copper-colored hair, a caustic wit, and a fierce talent for survival. Relayed in his own unsparing voice, Demon braves the modern perils of foster care, child labor, derelict schools, athletic success, addiction, disastrous loves, and crushing losses. Through all of it, he reckons with his own invisibility in a popular culture where even the superheroes have abandoned rural people in favor of cities.
My husband and I watched STILL: a Michael J. Fox movie (documentary) on Apple TV+. This is a must-watch. His rise to stardom was interesting. He has really done a lot to raise money for Parkinsons disease research. It’s awfully sad that his health has declined so much. His family seems like they’re pretty amazing.


Fun Recipes I’ve spotted on the internet this week :






Loaded with fresh strawberries, blueberries, mandarin oranges, pecans, goat cheese, and sparkling orange vinaigrette, this Summer Strawberry Salad is the perfect balance of savory, sweet, crunchy, creamy, and YUMMY!
Garlic Butter Baked Brie in a Bread Bowl looks totally amazing. It would be a great appetizer to serve for entertaining!
Cheesecake Brownies are made of 2 decadent layers – a rich, fudgy brownie layer and a classic cheesecake layer. They look so good!







Here’s what’s going on in my life:

I was in Dallas last weekend for my son Brooks’ graduation from SMU. It was an amazing weekend. Several relatives flew in to help us celebrate. Dallas is so much fun every time I’m there. The food is fabulous, and there’s so much to do. I am so very proud of Brooks and his accomplishment. He graduated with a very high GPA, and he has already secured a great job in downtown Dallas. I’m sad that he’ll be living so far away, but it’s a quick flight from Arizona. I’m sure we’ll be visiting often. It’s so fun to watch your child mature and become a fabulous adult! Products I’m loving :

Did you know you can order cards ( birthday cards , etc) on Amazon? Game changer. I always forget to buy cards, and these come quickly in the mail!
I found the best waterproof mascara ! It was cry-proof at my son’s graduation. I haven’t tried it at the beach yet though.
I am currently obsessed with the Tirokafteri Spicy Greek Cheese Spread from Trader Joe’s!
Do you live somewhere with summer humidity? Try using a de-humidifier in your house. It’s great for getting that moisture out of the air!
I’m trying out a new set of cooling sheets for hot sleepers that I found on Amazon. They were recommended, and I hope they’re good. I run hot!
My husband discovered Ocean Spray Diet Cranberry Cocktail , and now I’m hooked too. It’s only 10 calories per can, and it’s so refreshing and delicious.
My son’s girlfriend ordered these cute Dog Face Stickers for a project she was doing for him. The company nailed it, and the dog stickers look just like our sweet labradoodle!


Bake a coffee cake this week!  

Apple Cream Cheese Coffee Cake  is a delicious cake recipe to make with a bounty of fresh apples!
This  Lemon Coffee Cake  recipe will give you a thin pastry drizzled with sweet glaze and topped with toasted almonds. 
This  Fresh Blueberry Coffee Cake  is the best blueberry coffee cake recipe.  It’s a sour cream coffee cake with fresh blueberries inside the cake.  And it’s topped with a simple glaze flavored with vanilla or almond.
