Many fall into the trap of choosing comfort over challenge. Not realizing how uncomfortable their lives become as a result. Eventually, becoming prisoners of their own ease. Doomed to stagnation and despair. There is an old English adage dating back to the 16th century, often attributed to the English author William Congreve.
