Introduced by a leading expert in the field of psychology, Albert Bandura. Self-efficacy theory is defined as: The individual’s confidence in his ability to organize himself and accomplish a task. More particularly, self-efficacy is how people perceive their own abilities, and how this perception affects their behavior. High self-efficacy refers to a strong belief in one’s own abilities. Conversely, low self-efficacy refers to a weak belief in one’s own abilities. Basically, we can say that self-efficacy is about how confident you feel that you can do something.
