Wednesday's Bird
Western Tanager This pretty little bird is the Western Tanager . I've seen it several times in various parts of Arizona, including on the waterfall of my pool one summer. This photo was taken up in the Mule Mountains outside of Bisbee, Arizona, just a few miles from the Mexican border. Denis and I used to rent a cottage there for a week twice a year. During the week in the summer, I'd sit in the shade on the porch and be visited by all sorts of birds and lizards as well as mule deer. Cochise County, Arizona is a critter lover's paradise! © Cathy G. Cole of Kittling: Books All rights reserved.
