This long sleeved shirt from Old Navy is super cute. It runs a bit small in the sleeves, so I sized up.
I’m pretty obsessed with these cowboy boots .
I have this dress in an orange color, and it’s really pretty. There are so many patterns to choose from!
These pleated skorts are pretty adorable.

What I’m watching and reading :

Oddly enough, since it’s summer… I have been too busy to watch any TV lately!
We listened to a couple of good podcasts on our recent road trip: The Retrievals and The Girlfriend’s . Both were compelling enough to keep us occupied on our long drive!

Fun Recipes I’ve spotted on the internet this week :

These Southwest Egg Rolls look pretty amazing!
I need this Jalapeño Popper Grilled Cheese right now.
How did I not know about making Beer Cheese Sloppy Joes . Yum!
We must try these Whisky Soaked Peaches !

Here’s what’s going on in my life:

We had a great time in Lake Tahoe! The temperatures were in the high 70’s. We went to the beach, hiked through the trees and the guys played golf. It was glorious.
Back at home, I’ve been doing Crossfit classes. My older sister Susie ( @novelvisits ) had a birthday. We did an 11 mile bike ride, shopped, and took her out to Thai food for dinner.

Catch up on food-related news of the week :

New cookbook release: Baking Yesteryear: The Best Recipes from the 1900s to the 1980’s by B. Dylan Hollis. This book has all 5-star ratings! From Amazon: This is a decade-by-decade cookbook that highlights the best (and a few of the worst) baking recipes from the 20th century. Travel back in time on a delicious decade-by-decade jaunt as Dylan shows you how to bake vintage forgotten greats. With a big pinch of fun and a full cup of humor, you’ll be baking everything from Chocolate Potato Cake from the 1910s to Avocado Pie from the 1960s.
IHOP is offering all-you-can-eat pancakes for $5 .
Lunchables are getting healthier!
French’s and Skittles have teamed up to create mustard-flavored Skittles !

Products I’m loving :

I bought these cute (cheap!) velcro Apple Watch bands .
Look for Monster Cookie Ice Cream by Tillamook . Yum!
We’ve been using these Mosquito Repellant Incense Sticks , and they work pretty well. You’ll need a little incense holder too.
I saw so many people playing Ladder Toss (also known as Blongo Ball) in Lake Tahoe. It’s such a fun, family game.
Look for Plaintain Chips at Trader Joe’s . They’re mildly sweet (a good snack!)
My sister-in-law got me into trying Lume deodorant . You’ve probably seen it advertised on TV. I like to use it in combination with my other favorite anti-perspirant if I’m having a day where I really need to stay dry. It makes you smell good all day long!
We keep this luggage rack in our guest room so our guests can easily lay out their luggage.

Bake some zucchini bread this week!

This recipe for  Chocolate Chunk Zucchini Bread  turns out a lightly sweetened zucchini bread loaf with a hint of chocolate here and there.
This  Pineapple Zucchini Bread is a quick loaf recipe that’s a little bit different (and delicious).
Moist and delicious, this  Blueberry Zucchini Bread  recipe is best when you can mix in plump, ripe blueberries while they’re at their sweetest.

Next Week’s Recipes :

On  RecipeGirl : Mojito Marinated Chicken, Lemon Blueberry Cheesecake and Grilled Blue Cheese & Pear Pizza
On  RecipeBoy : Blueberry Freezer Jam
On  RecipesForHolidays : Melon Sorbet for Melon Day!

Have a wonderful week!
