1 Glow In The Dark Variants Are Back In A Big Way




Cannot wait for the glow in the dark store exclusive ratio 2nd print embossed foil issue of Amazing Spider-Man introducing the Technicolor Goblin Symbiote.  Make sure to get the polybagged version with the tattoos or you won’t be able to get a good grade on the book in 6 months when all these stupid gimmicks cause another bubble burst.









2 Jed MacKay




Yo, so like, this guy is a really good writer.  Like really, REALLY good.  Like he better get nominated for an Eisner for  Dr. Strange  #6 good.  I love a slow descent into madness story and this issue was a perfect example of it.












3 Kate Pryde
How did it take Marvel this long to give us a story where Kitty just goes berserk and absolutely destroys anyone who gets in her way?  Follow-up question – can we please get an ongoing thats just this?
P.S. Gerry Duggan making a strong case for best modern Kitty writer.  Would highly recommend his Marauders run










4 Firestar: Villain!
Wow, this is the first time Firestar has been legitimately interesting since <ERROR – NO PREVIOUS RECORD FOUND>












5 Secret Invasion
Well…they can’t all be winners.  Though it is nice to know there are suddenly so many diehard Rhodey fans.










6 Free Comic Book Day At The Capitol
Can’t wait to see our elected representatives push and shove each other to get a free comic.  Wouldn’t be the first time in recent memory people got trampled at the capitol over something totally fictional












7 2020 New Warriors
If you have not heard about this team, take a moment to familiarize yourself , because its hilarious how cringy and virtue-signaly this idea was.  That being said, I still kind of want Marvel to publish it, if for no other reason than to find out what exactly this “internet gas” is that gives a character meme powers (I shit you not, that is part of it).










8 Barbie Movie Makes $1 Billion
Makes about as much sense as the thousands of dollars we all spend on comics.  Good for them.












9 Gun Honey
Finally, somebody answered the question “What if James Bond was hornier?”
Answer: Its a pretty awesome comic.










10 IDW Doesn’t Know Who It’s Own Creators Are
Gotta love a good unforced error

Cullen Bunn’s Valkyrie Cycle
Spread across  Fear Itself: The Fearless ,  Fearless Defenders , and  Asgardians of the Galaxy , Cullen Bunn’s tale finally gives Valkyrie the spotlight she so richly deserves.  Each of these series is great on their own, but combined they add up to a rich story about a proud warrior that I could not put down.  Also, the covers for  Fearless Defenders  are great, including many highly – investible variants .










The Ben Reilly Tribute
This painfully long, but wonderfully in-depth series of articles fully explores the events of and surrounding the creation of the Clone Saga.  A must read for diehard Spidey fans
