“Tiger-X”
Welcome to the Russian occupation zone, formally known as Texas. In the year 1993 war in the Middle East spilled over onto the Russian Steppes, sparking a global offensive by all Soviet held territories. Unknown to the world’s intelligence gathering organizations, Russian scientists had developed a new form of military vehicle more advanced than anything seen on the battlefield.
Called the Vostok A-4 Attack Suits, these robotic war machines laid waste to Europe’s most well equipped armies. Suffering both militarily and economically, Europe’s governments quickly surrendered. Within weeks the Soviets launched a major offensive up through Mexico into the American heartland. There they split the United States in two leaving only sparse resistance.
With their battle-suit stockpiles beginning to dwindle, the Soviet high command soon turns to their machines’ creator. The only roadblock standing in the way of global domination now is the whereabouts of one Dr. Bordeau Onrei. As a large-scale manhunt begins to search for the defected scientist, news has reached a small band of American rebels. If only they can find the prototype battle-suit and its creator, maybe, just maybe they can turn the tides of war.
Can the resistance force locate the hidden bunker containing Tiger-X before the Soviets can steal victory? What happened to Jordy Mills’ family in the early days of the invasion? Will Dr. Onrei ever see his wife and children again? Collect the series to find out!

What a blast from the past! I had this series back when it first released in 1988. As a big fan of indie comics, anime, and giant robots it didn’t get any better than this. Maybe colored pages? Just maybe.
What can I say, black and white comics were all the rage back then. With the popularity of anime and Manga books exploding across America, it took the combined talent of the Eternity Comics production team to bring us this American Anime classic. Think of Tiger-X as a cross between Mobile Suit Gundam and the movie Red Dawn. If you like either I recommend checking this series out. I’m giving the Tiger-X Special four out of five stars. Now go be a rebel!
