What did you like about the book? A pig driving a car is looking for a bridge that will take him to his destination when he meets up with a wolf who tells him that the bridge is closed. The wolf invites the pig back to his house which he shares with another wolf. They entertain the pig with tea and cakes until the wolf informs the pig that the bridge is now open. Returning to the spot where the bridge should be a large bird tells the pig there is no bridge. The End.
The illustrations in gouache and watercolor are spare, pastel-colored and simple filling a two-page spread.
Anything you did not like about the book? I do not see the point of this book – just for imagination?
To whom would you recommend this book? I wouldn’t.
Who should buy this book? Public libraries
Where would you shelve it? Picture books
Should we (librarians) put this on the top of our “to read” piles? No.
