August saw a lot of editing work done on Old Phuul. Having made various narrative alterations, and fixed up in-universe geography, I have been concentrating on tightening up the manuscript. I have managed to cut the overall length from 99,000 words to 90,000 at this point. The biggest remaining issue is adding the extra chapter – though I am leaving that until I have finished my current edits, so the story is fresh in my mind before I write it.
